Favorite way to get moving: My go to’s are always walking and dancing. Dancing is how I found my way into the world of fitness. However, toss in some Hot Yoga or Hot Pilates and I am a happy camper.
Favorite workout music: I am a lover of music in general, and since I teach Zumba several times a week I listen to a lot of Latin music. I also grew up in Spanish Harlem, so Hip-hop, Salsa, Dancehall, and Merengue all remind me of home, and get my body moving.
Guilty Pleasure: I love historical romance and musicals. I rewatch “The Princess and the Frog” continuously… for the kids of course.

GET TO KNOW YOUR TRAINER

Autumn, also known as The Enlightened Daughter, if focused on all things “mind, body, and soul.” Her coaching isn’t one dimensional. All 4 parts of the body are connected and she addresses them all in her coaching.

She grew up in NYC, a Harlem baby through and through. Although there wasn’t much health and wellness education in her community growing up, she always enjoyed moving and feeling good in her body. She has never been a gym person. Walking and dancing were things she did all the time, not as a form of exercise, but for the enjoyment of them. The healthy, energized, and fit body was a happy byproduct of those activities.

Coming from an area of poverty, where it is easier and more affordable to get pizza and a soda, than a salad and bottled water, she had to train and educate herself on health and wellness. She watched person after person eat horribly, not move their bodies and end up with cancer, heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, and so on. Unable to take care of themselves, or their loved ones due to neglect and negligence. Taking for granted the one body we have.

On the other hand, she also had a cousin who was huge into health and fitness, and due to his training he was able to save a lot of his co-workers during the tragedy of 9/11, as he worked on Wall Street. It was inspirational. His training helped many of those who couldn’t help themselves on that day. And she’s thought of that often when working with people. You never know who you will be called to help one day, physically, verbally, emotionally, it’s all important. That is what health and wellness is to her. Helping yourself to help your “self.” You are the most important person in your life. It’s time to treat yourself like the VIP of your life that you are.

She supports longevity of mortality with proper diet and exercise. She meets you where you’re at, and supports you to go even further. It would be her honor and pleasure to embark upon this journey with you. There is no wrong path. Your path has your name on it, so no judgment, just growth, expansion, and motivation. And remember always if… you take care of your body, and your body will take care of you!

" You take care of your body, and your body will take care of you! "
