Deirdre grew up in Bernardsville, NJ, where musical theater and sports went hand in hand. Whether she was on stage performing or out on the lacrosse field competing, she was constantly moving, constantly pushing herself. Theater gave her creativity and expression, while sports gave her discipline and drive. She loved the balance between the two—how each challenged her in a different way.
As she got more serious about performing, she decided to major in Musical Theater at Temple University. She realized how physically demanding it was to be on stage for hours. Singing, dancing, and acting night after night required real stamina. That’s when she turned to weightlifting. It not only helped her stay in shape, but also built the endurance she needed for the stage. At first, it was just part of her routine—a tool to support the things she already loved.
But something changed. The gym became more than a means to an end. It became her passion. She started to look forward to lifting, to tracking her progress, to seeing her strength grow both physically and mentally. Over time, fitness stopped being just the thing that kept her going; it became the thing she loved the most.
Now, fitness is at the center of her life. It’s where she finds focus, challenge, and fulfillment. It all started with theater and sports, but lifting gave her something deeper: a sense of purpose and confidence that she carries with her every day. As a trainer, her goal isn’t just to help others get stronger—it’s to help them discover that same spark she found. She wants them to feel what it’s like to be confident in their bodies, proud of their progress, and excited to move.
