Maria grew up in Western Massachusetts and has always had a strong connection to movement and athletics. Fitness has been a consistent part of her life, not only as a way to stay active, but as a tool for building confidence, discipline, and overall well-being. She attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she earned her bachelor’s degrees in Management and Kinesiology, allowing her to combine her passion for people with her interest in human movement and performance.
During college, Maria worked at the university’s recreational center, where she helped individuals immerse themselves into the world of fitness and wellness. In this role, she supported members by scheduling and creating workouts, teaching proper form and technique, and most importantly, helping them feel comfortable and confident in the gym environment. Through these experiences, she discovered how impactful the right guidance and encouragement can be for someone starting or continuing their fitness journey.
Maria became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer because helping others grow stronger, physically and mentally, is incredibly fulfilling to her. Watching clients gain confidence, build strength, and realize what they are capable of is one of the most rewarding parts of what she does.
Her training style is supportive, motivating, and adaptable. She loves working with individuals who are brand new to fitness, those who have been training for years, and anyone looking to pivot or redefine their goals. She believes fitness should be empowering, sustainable, and enjoyable, and her goal is to help each client feel capable, confident, and proud of their progress both inside and outside the gym.
