Originally from Oregon, with roots that stretch between Las Vegas and Lake Tahoe, Ashley never saw herself as the “athletic type.” Growing up, the gym intimidated her. She struggled with anxiety around working out and the whole concept of strength training.
Everything changed in college when she decided to give it a real shot. She would show up to the gym at dawn, hide in a corner, and watch “how-to” videos for every exercise she did. Slowly, her confidence grew, her anxiety faded, and she discovered how empowering movement could be, not just for her body, but for her mind.
It was during this period that she adopted a simple but powerful mantra: “The time will pass anyways.” This reminded her that progress isn’t fast; it takes time and consistency. Sometimes her goals felt far in the future, but knowing the time would pass encouraged her to keep making those small, deliberate steps.
Living in a sorority house surrounded by friends, her consistency caught their attention. They began joining her, and she quickly realized how much she loved helping others find their own confidence in the gym. It felt personal to her, going from trying this completely alone to guiding people through what used to terrify her.
A couple years into her own fitness journey, she decided to dive into the fitness industry. That passion turned into a career, one built on the empathy she learned in those early morning sessions, the patience of her favorite mantra, and the belief that fitness is built through education and empowerment. Today, she has coached everything from large group classes to one-on-one sessions, guiding athletes, beginners, and everyone in between.
